Stage Left Project presents: CABARET SOIRÉE

May 13th The Printworks Hastings 6pm- 9pm £10

Join us for a Sunday Soirée - a Cabaret performance that features close harmony vocal arrangements of songs from Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story & Trouble in Tahiti, and music from Kurt Weill.

From the company that delighted and enthralled audiences with their autumn production of Bernstein's one act opera -'Trouble in Tahiti' - Stage Left Project proudly presents an evening of entertainment and song.

The evenings performance will further celebrate Leonard Bernstein, the composer of 'West Side Story', during his centenary year, and will feature songs from that now infamous collaboration of dance, music and theatre. Alongside this, the company will also be performing compositions by Kurt Weill, both as solo performers, and in three-part harmonies.

Please join us for this company fundraising event, in a relaxed cabaret style that will feature Chiara Vinci (soprano), Laurence Panter (piano/tenor) and Tom Clarkson (double bass/tenor).

Stage Left Project have been invited to take 'Trouble in Tahiti' to Sunbury and Shepperton Arts Festival and The Chichester Bernstein Festival - this event is a fundraiser for the production.

Tickets are £10- you can chose to add a donation to your ticket price. Donations are gratefully received.

Stage Left Project presents: Trouble in Tahiti

Stage Left Project presents a live performance of Leonard Bernstein’s one act opera, about the darker side of American suburbia, featuring Barbershop style arrangements of music from the era.
Each show starts with a musical introduction in the bar, foyer or restaurant, then moves in to the auditorium for the main feature- see each venue for details.

Stage Left Project is a new Hastings based Theatre Company, whose aim is to bring Opera and music based theatre to a new audience through interactive, site sensitive productions. Expect plenty of playful interaction with performances reaching into the foyer and audiences experiencing a sensory, immersive evening out.

Trouble in Tahiti will be performed at Sunbury and Shepperton Arts Festival in July 2018 and at The Chichester Bernstein Festival in September 2018.
